Longer version of our terms and conditions

When booking with us, online, you will get an email confirmation, with the information you’ll need. All contact between us and you as a guest will be through email at: steim.info@gmail.com . If you book the tour through the tourist information in Vik, your confirmation is your receipt from them.

You pay the whole amount when booking, online or at the tourist information. The whole amount must be paid before the tour, by card or through PayPal. We do not take cash.

You can cancel the tour up to 24 hours before the tour is scheduled to start. The entire amount will then be refunded to you. If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the scheduled start, or in case of no-show, you will not be refunded.

We reserve the right to change or cancel the tour. This could be due to extreme weather, too few participants, animal welfare or other things beyond our control. If we do cancel the tour, you will be refunded the whole amount paid.

If you want to change the tour, make it shorter or adapt it in any other way, please send us an email and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.

We do not have a lower age limit on our tour, the accompanying adult is responsible for deciding if the tour is fit for their child. Children cannot join the tour without an adult. We do not offer children car seats in our transport service, but are happy to help fit it if you bring your own. The car has iso-fix.

We will try to assist or help as best we can, but we do not take responsibility for any damage or loss of property. We will walk in nature and interact with animals, both can possibly cause damage to clothing etc. You are responsible for dressing for the elements.

By joining our tour you agree to protect the surrounding nature as best you can by not littering or causing damage in other ways. We will mostly walk on private land and forest, but we will also cross other people's property. Always respect their property, animals and the nature around us. We want to keep nature healthy and cultural pastures nearby and the village alive. If you do not respect this, we reserve the right to cancel the rest of the tour with no refund.

It is your responsibility to decide if your health is adequate to join the tour. We will walk in nature, sometimes in steep and slippery terrain. If you have an allergy or a health condition please let us know ahead of time so we can help you decide if the tour is safe for you, and make the adaptations necessary. We bring a first aid kit, but it is your responsibility to bring the medication etc. that you need. You join our tour at your own risk, we do not take responsibility for any injury, sickness or other health problem occuring on or after the tour. We will of course assist you as best we can and assure that you are given appropriate health care. Beware that health care in Norway can be costly if you are a foreigner and do not have travel insurance.

We are visiting the animals in their “home'' and we must respect them and their pasture. If they do not want us near we will respect this. There is no guarantee that you will get to interact closely with the animals. Your guide will be in charge of the interactions with the animals. If you do not respect this, we reserve the right to cancel the rest of the tour with no refund.

If you have been in contact with other farm animals during the last 48 hours, you can’t visit Steim farm. This is due to possible infectious diseases.

Norwegian, Swedish and English. English will be the main language if we have different nationalities. We do not take any special requests in other languages.
